Xikar Allume 2 Review: The New Double Jet Pocket Torch
Xikar rebuilt its Allume line in 2026, and the Allume 2 is the one most people will carry. It is a double jet torch lighter made for the pocket, with two flames angled toward each other. It replaces the old Allume Double Jet. Here is what changed and who it is for.

What is the Xikar Allume 2?
The Allume line now has three lighters, named by how many jets they have:
- Allume 1: single jet, built for travel ($59.99 SRP)
- Allume 2: double jet, pocket size ($69.99 SRP, $63.99 at our shop)
- Allume 3: triple jet, table lighter ($99.99 SRP, $91.99 at our shop)
The Allume 2 sits in the middle. Xikar calls it the ideal pocket lighter, and it is the direct replacement for the Allume Double Jet Torch, which is retired.

What changed from the old Allume
Xikar did not just rename it. The Allume 2 uses new molds and reworked parts inside. Three changes matter most:
- Angled flames. The old model fired its jets straight up. On the Allume 2, the two jets lean in and meet at one point. That makes the flame easier to aim, so you can touch up an uneven burn without scorching the wrapper.
- Better air flow. New vents help the flame stay steady and light more reliably.
- Lower price, more colors. The new line costs less than the old one and comes in seven finishes.
Who should buy the Allume 2?
Buy it if you want one torch that does everything: lights a small cigar or a big ring gauge, handles touch-ups, and still fits in a jeans pocket. Two jets give you more heat than a single jet without the size of a table lighter.
Pick a different Allume if:
- You travel a lot and want the most fuel in the smallest body: get the Allume 1.
- You mostly light at home or in a lounge and smoke big ring gauges: get the Allume 3.
- You prefer a quiet, gentle flame: look at a soft flame lighter instead. Our soft flame vs torch guide explains the difference.
Care tips
Use clean, multi-refined butane. Hold the lighter upside down, fill in short bursts, then wait 2–3 minutes before lighting. If the flame gets weak or sputters, bleed the old gas and refill, then adjust the flame wheel. Our guide on why your lighter stopped working covers the common fixes.
Bottom line
The Allume 2 is a solid update. The angled double jet is the real improvement: it puts the heat where you aim it. At $63.99 in our shop, with Xikar’s lifetime warranty, it is one of the easiest torch lighters to recommend.
